    GURTH - a - MULLOCK
    the field of the curse situated in Smyth's farm Knockeeran. Not known how name originated.

    BANASTOCK
    field on Wm. Ahearne's farm near Orcharstown. Origin of name unknown.

    CLASHAGONEE
    situated on Wm. Ahearne's farm. Field of the sandpits.

    POULBEE
    where Slatterys of Darling hill live. Means "Yellow Pool".

    CULCROON
    situated on Michael Murphy's farm Ballytarsna. Means the "back meadow".

    INCH
    small paddock situated on John Slattery's farm, Bally (?) Stream runs through it.

    LOUGH DUBH
    Paddock situated on Slattery's farm, Ballyclerihan - called after pond with black water in it.

    DRISOGNE
    place of the briars, situated on Rourke's farm, Chancellorstown, Clerihan.

    FORTY ACRES
    Large field in Knockeevan Demesne, containing 40 acres . Now divided up by the Irish Land Commission..

    CLASH-A-FILE-LEAGH
    situated on David Barry's farm, Ballynattin, Clerihan. Large pond and gully on side of the road.

    DUNLEA'S FIELD
    situated on Denis Prendergast's farm near "Cross of the Spy". The informer Moll Dunlea was born there who betrayed Fr. Sheehy who was hung. Foundation of her house is still to be traced. The adjoining Cross of the Spy is is probably named after her.

    ÓCNABRADÁN (?)
    situated near David Mulcahy's cottage in in Orchardstown. "Ford of the salmon." Bridge crosses the road there now.
