    Candle - Making: They had a mould and a wick going up through it and a nail at the top of the mould and the wick tied to the nail. Then they would melt the lard of the sheep and put it into a mould and leave it for a day and a night to get hard. Then they would heat it again and take out the candle.
    Basket - Making: They used to make baskets around here long ago. Some people used to sell them. They got long rods and put them down on the ground. Then they would put the rods around until the basket is finished.
    Making Ploughs: There was a man in Crusheen called Mc Carthy and he used to make timber ploughs. They were called Cippy ploughs.
    Spinning. In every house long ago they had a spinning wheel. They
