The following is an old story of Christmas:- Once upon a time, the soldiers were looking for our Lord to kill Him. Our Lord walked over a field where a man had sown wheat and drops of blood fell from our Lord as He walked across it, and by a miracle the wheat sprang up in one night, and next day it was ready for cutting. The day following the soldiers came by the same way searching for Him. There was a robin on a bush and when it saw the soldiers coming it lay upon every drop of blood that marked Our Lords tracks and didn't leave a trace of it for the soldiers to follow and that is why every robin has a red(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
