- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)They made for the father's Castle and when they were near the wood, the fox said, "Get off my back." "I can't go any further." The boy was very sorry and felt the parting with the fox.
Now when the boy entered the house, the Bird began to sing, the Lady began to talk and the horse began to neigh. The truth was told by the Lady and the youngest son and the father believed it and condemned the two sons to death.
The Lady and the youngest boy were married and lived very happily together.
One evening they were out walking and the fox appeared at the mouth of the wood and said, "Cut off my foot and tail," said he. "Oh no" said he "you were too good."
Next evening they were out again and the same thing happened. And the third evening the same thing occurred.
The lady spoke and said, "Do as he said." He did it very reluctantly. What happened, but instead of a fox, a beautiful young man appeared who was the young lady's brother. He had been under enchantment till he found someone who was faithful and good.
