with lime-stone .They used to call them quern stones.We have none of the quern stones at home now.Stampy bread was made from potatoes.Some people make it yet.The people do not wet it with milk or water.They baked the bread on a clean flag.Soon after they got griddles.They put the flag on an iron brand.The brand was made at the forge ,and it had three legs.They did not make any special bread for any days because they did not know anything about sweet-cakes.The bread is now made from white flour and the flour is wet with milk.
