   composition on the board this half hour. Then when half ten comes he calls the rolls and when those are called we march into our desks and write down the sentences off the black board. When this half-hour is up we stand around on the floor and read a bit out of our Engilsh books.
   While the other classes are writing in the desks we do a few sums. Then twelve o'clock comes and we have to go to our Catechism. We are at that until half twelve and then we go out for half an hour to have a run about. Then the boys and girls play their own games. The girls have games of their own such as "London Bridges" and 'ring a ring
