Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)ditches covered with snow, because it was impossible to distinguish the road from the fields. Every night it used to freeze and the snow lasted for a month because it could n't thaw.
People were all right while they had enough food but when the food ran short they had to go to town. They had to go early because it would be late when they would come. Many people got lost in the snow and died on the road with the cold. Some other people lost their sheep on mountains when they could not go to see where they were.
