- The Finians were big men, and they spent most of their time hunting the wild animals. Once, as the Finians were hiding on the wood of Killarney they saw a wild animal; they never seen the like of it before. All the hounds began to bark, the wild animal stood and Finians were walking on.
Them men let go the dogs and as fast as the dogs were attacking him, he was killing and swallowing them. Then when the wild animal saw the men coming near him he ran for the sea, and as he was going so fast, he fell in and was drowned.
