  1. Long ago before people knew of doctors, nurses or any of the present day medicine they had cures of their own for every disease. Here are some of their usual cures.
    If a person had the whooping cough and any relation of the patient to meet a man with a white horse and ask him for a cure and whatever he recommed they believed it would cure the patient.
    A dandelion leaf boiled in milk was a cure for consumption but if it was not drunk before a certain time it would not cure.
