  1. As a general rule the people used to go to the church to get married. Sometimes the priest used to go to the house and marry them.
    They thought it was unlucky to get married in Lent or in the Month of May or the day after St. Stephen's. They used to give money as a fortune and if they had would give stock and sometimes they would give both.
