  1. In olden times the people of Ireland used gold and silver and valuable things in making brooches and pins and drinking vessels and when raiders came to Ireland they got mislayed and occasionally they are found in old walls or hidden under the ground.
    There was one man in Sligo who dreamt that there was a horn of gold in the bridge near Athlone. he set out and when he reached the bridge a little red man appeared to him and told him that the gold which was in the bridge belonged to him, but he told that there was a horn of gold
