It is said that some time ago there always about forty crows in it and as it was the only tree around our house or the neighbouring houses which the crows built in, it was given that name.

    Céim Cloch.
Céim Cloch is the name of a number of fields where a great battle was fought long ago. Céim Cloch means stepping stones and those fields are covered with large stones which were supposed to be put there in memory of the slain.
