- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)was a small little window and two holes, one at each end of the bed and those holes used to be packed with rags and old stockings. Some of the (holes) floors of the houses were made of clay and some more of flags. Those floors were very unhealthy and most of the people died on account of them.
At that time all the people used to keep the cows tied at the end of the house and aloft over them in which they kept the hens. The people also had a pigsty at the end of the house in which they kept a litter of pigs. They used to have the ass tied to the door and a calf tied to the leg of the table.
