  1. Once upon a time there lived a man in a wood. He had one only daughter and she was blind. One day she went to the edge of a lake. She put her hand in the water and sometimes bit her.
    She went home and told her father. Her father went fishing next day and caught a salmon.
    The salmon begged to be let go and that he would give the man anything he would ask. He did so and asked him his daughters sight.
    He said he would. The man let him go. Next day he was fishing the
