- Once upon a time there lived a man in a wood. He had one only daughter and she was blind. One day she went to the edge of a lake. She put her hand in the water and sometimes bit her.
She went home and told her father. Her father went fishing next day and caught a salmon.
The salmon begged to be let go and that he would give the man anything he would ask. He did so and asked him his daughters sight.
