    acres of land. Fr. Davis, P.P. Kilfian is living in her house now. She was a very cruel lady. She evicted several of her tenants, often times without any cause.
    There lived a man and his wife of the name of Philbin. They were poor and had a weak family. When they were not able to pay the rent she turned them out on the road-side. It was a bad wet day. They had no place to take refuge so they took off the lock of the door and went in. Next morning when Miss Gardner heard this she ordered her men to cut the roof off the house. Then the poor people knew they had to leave their home so they emigrated to America. There was free emigration at that time.
    Miss Gardner had a companion called Miss Pringle. When she died she left her companion all her riches. So Miss Pringle carried on the business
