  1. In my district certain days are looked upon as lucky or unlucky ones. The years weather can be judged by certain days as "Candlemas day be calm and clear".
    We shall have two winters in the one year and it falls on the second day or the third of February.
    There is another Tradition about "New Years day" that if you spent money on that day you will spend money for the whole year long, and if you put out the ashes or throw out water you will meet with or see fairies before the year is gone. There
