At Tullyhurk about two miles from Ballyshannon there lived a man named Johnny White. Every night the fairies would make him jump Tullyhurk Lough. Whenever they called for him he had to go with them. They kept him jumping the Lough till the cock crew. Every time he jumped the Lough the fairies would say, “Well jumped Johnny! Try it again.” At last he got a cure. He hung a boat from the roof. He removed the seats and slept in the boat every night till his death.- Collector
