  1. Years ago where Mr. Frank Graham now has a bicycle shop soap was made. The owner of this industry is forgotten.
    Years ago where Mr Gillespie [?] of the market yard lives, ropes were made by an ancestor of his. It is not known how many years have passed since this old industry closed down.
    There are the walls to be seen of a very large cotton factory on the Knather road. This factory was never completed as the government feared that the dye from the cotton would poison the salmon (fishing) and spoil the salmon fishing
