  1. St Mary's Well, and Church
    In my townland there is a holy well. It is called St Mary's Well. People take water from it when want a cure for some ailment as they believe there is a cure in the water from this well especially for sprains. The field in which the well is belongs to Miss Houston, Killyverry, Newtowncunningham.
    People of this district say that there was a church there also in olden times. I heard my father say that he heard it was called St Mary's Church. The townland Killyverry probably got its name on that account. (Cille a Mhuire) Although there are no traces or old ruins of it, most people believe that there was one there.
