  1. An old story is told a bout the Saviour passing through a field on our farm.
    when he was followed by the Jew's.
    A man whose name is now unknown was supposed to be sowing grain in the field. He saw a man coming towards him.
    The met at a well which was in the field and the stranger asked a drink.
    The man had no bowl or pan with him.
    So he went to the sack which held his seed and brought a wooden noggen which he had for lifting the seed out of the sack into his sheet and gave the stranger a drink. After drinking he blessed the man and told him that the well would never go dry.
    The stranger then told the man if any one came along asking
