    In the year of 52 in the Month of December,
    It being on the 22nd right well I mind the day,
    Three young me set a sailing which left their friends bewailing
    And death came round them stealing and took them in their prime
    II
    The morning it was fine although the storm was appearing
    Fearing little danger while lancing their oars
    It was little did they think that when leaving home that morning
    That they would never see their aged mother any more
    III
    On their course to Fanad steering no danger were they fearing,
    Until their was returning they met a watery grave
    It was little did they think that Neptune
