called bog. The place where the "biittle", or "cippineac", turf is called the "Old Eascaig" or "Seanysoll, and the soft bog is called "Snragh mór" A "mearing" drain between two bogs is called a "Logs Pit".
There are several logs in which there are hidden treasures or pots and bags of gold, and firkins of butter and bowls of tallow, which were supposed to be buried by the Danes at some or some other race of people long ago
The people long ago used to pack butter and tallow in bowls and firkins and butter dishes and "ciálers", and when they could not find them and did not need them anymore and so they remain in the earth, ever to the present day. They used to pack grease in little wooden mugs called nogggens. They used to pack those things, so as to get a better price for them in years to come
