    ( There's scarcely a man or woman in the townland of Carrinamanagh, especially in the part they call 'Old Street', who has not heard the "banshee" at one time or another, especially when it forebodes the death of some young boy or girl)
    N.B. This part of the village "Old Street" marks the spot where Martyn killed the eight robbers about a hundred years ago.
