    Hidden Treasure
Before the monks left Kilconnell Abbey they hid a pot of gold. Some years after a Monk came back and went into Page's house in Ballyglass and told Page there was a pot of gold hidden in the brink of the third lake from Page's house and the third lake was in Mullen's land.
The Monk said that himself and Page would go and dig for it in the morning and they would get a two shilling piece first and then they would be very near the gold.
When morning came Page went out to get the breakfast ready and the Monk went out to read his office. The Monk sat down at the butt of a tree. When Page had the breakfast ready he went out to call the Monk and he found him dead under the tree. Page told Mullen about the treasure and Mullen gave him leave to dig for it. Page was a long time digging and at last he found the two shilling piece and he told Mullen.
    Mullen laughed
