Severe WeatherSnow
The last big fall of snow was in February ninteen hundred and thirty three. It was four feet high in places and where it drifted it was ten feet. It blocked all traffic on the roads for a week.
There was a goods train coming from Woodlawn station, and going to Ballinasloe station.
When it was near coming near Curragh bridge it came off the track, and the guard that was behind in the van of the train was shouting that the men in the engine heard him, and they stopped the train.
It was taken from the track, and left in a field for two days. The train broke the planks, and they had to be fixed. Thunderstorm(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
