  1. 1. In Abbey there is a holy well. It is called Lady well. There was an old blind monk living in the monastery who went down where the well is now.
    2. He was walking around and he pulled up a fern. As soone as he did so, the water burst up to his eyes. At that moment his sight was restored. And every year since during the month of August people some there to perform.
    3. There was a strange man found drowned in one of the wells. That well is closed up now. It was a girl named Ryan that found the man. Mrs. Donoghue is in charge of Lady well every year. There is a Statue of the Blessed Virgin in it. A
