  1. 1. There are not many local poets around this locality. There was a man in Cranna by the name of Patrick Felle who composed a song called "Sweet Ballygown."
    2. There is another man who composed another song. His name was Ned Mullin, he was a native of Ballygown, but he composed this song in Ballinagar. He used to write his songs on flat stones.
    3. Every time he would call the fish, they used to come up the stream. He used to be able to tame fish.
