  1. There are several holy wells round this locality, There is one in the townland of Abbey another in the townland of Lachin and another in the townland of Ballygown.
    The most important on is in the village of Abbey. The name of it is Lady well. It is for the Blessed Virgin Mary.
    A lot of people come there to perform. It does be open from the 15th of August to the 8th of September. Every one that comes leaves something after them a bit of a rag or something like that. They
