    The princely life of Hamilton stands high and frowning there And high above the fair-green Sits sullenly and dim. With battlements all broken and windows warping wide. And briar entwined with ivy.
    Its darkest dungeon high, Our village is a smiling spot. when winter storms are o'er
    But dim and darly frawing[?] sits Castle Hamilton O'er the hills one evening.
    Dawn by the seting sun There appeared a wear cavaleade[?]
