  1. We have a churn at home, and it is of a green colour. The top of the churn is called the caisín, and the bottom is called the Laigín. The shape of the churn is narrow all the top, and wide at the bottom. We scald the churn once a week with a scrubber, and hot water. A scrubber is a besom made from leather, and it is tied with a briar. First the cream is but into the churn. Next the churndash is got, and it is put into the churn, and then the lid is put on.
