  1. The Landlord for Locality was Lane Fox he came from England and married a girl named Lane and that is how he got his name. He had two or three agents one of them was Davy Stuart from Cloonquinn. Davy Stuart used ride a white horse and he used ride the horse through the peoples crops and root the ridges the see what kind of potatoes they had. One day as he was riding his horse from Dromahair to Manorhamilton he saw a man named Kelly of Fawn Dromahair puting out manure in a nice green field by the roadside. He immediately got down off the horse and went to the field where Kelly was working. He asked Kelly what he had the manure for and when he heard it was for potatoes he told him to lift up every bit of the manure and Kelly had to do so.
