The great Breffni family of the O'Reillys had a castle at Augharan in the parish of Augharas Co. Leitrim. They lived there for many generations The castle was built near to Augharan lake and the stones of il were used when Parson Eager made "Eager's Broad Road" about 100 or more years ago.
