  1. An uncle of mine made an appointment with a cousin of is to go to a fair in Tralee. He got up very early in the morning and set out to meet his cousin. He took the short cut through the fields and as he was going along he felt the cap rising off his head. In the finish he had to put up his hand to hold it on his head. When he reached his cousin he was pale with terror.
    The cousin asked him what had happened him and he told him of the fright he had got. The cousin only laughed at him and told him the following story. "One night," he began, as
