  1. About forty years ago the people of Castlemaire and Killorglin used to cross the mountains raid going to Tralee.
They used often be late returning at night, and a spirit used to meet them in a lonely part of the road. The people used to faint and she used take the money out of their pockets.
One night a man was coming from Tralee and he had some drink taken.
She tackles him to get his money, but he struck her on the head with a stick he found out, that she was not a spirit but a woman known as "Hannah the Black".
