  1. Long ago the people made different kinds of bread. The potato bread and oatenmeal bread and wheaten bread. This is how they made the potato bread. First they get a few large potatoes and grate them. Then they squeeze the water out of them and the pulp that was left was washed well until it was as white as snow. Then they got a little flour and mixed it with the potatoes and baked it on a griddle. This is how they made the oatenmeal bread. First they got a couple of saucers of oatenmeal and a half a saucer of flour and a pinch of soda and
