  1. Here is a short account of a few plants that grow on our lands.
    Groundsel is a tall weed with a yellow blossom and not much leaves. It is given as food to Goldfinches.
    Praiseach Bwee is a weed which grows through crops and is hard to get rid of. It has a yellow blossom also.
    Marsh Mallow is a purple red blossomed plant, very tall and supposed to cure a sprain.
    Flowerawns is a plant with big soft leaves and it is given to pigs for food.
    Robin Run the Hedge is a weed which creeps up the hedge and sticks to the branches.
    Devils Bread is a sort creeper. It climbs up the hedges and has a nice white blossom.
    Blind eyes is a flower with a red blossom. It grows mostly out in the fields. It is said that if you keep one over your eyes for a time it will blind you.
