  1. Crosses
On St. Bridgets eve 31st of January A lot of green rushes and straight sticks are brought and are placed in form of a cross. The rushes are then woven around them. When finished the make a nice cross. On May day 1st of May a cross is made of two sticks and struck to the roof. A bunch of May-flowers is tied to each point of the cross. This is called the "May pole". There are also some May flowers primroses scattered on the doorstep.
