  1. Folklore
There is a moat near us. The moat of Ardskeagh is the name of it. There are a heap of bushes growing on top of it.
The priest of Ballyhea told the people that a door and many secret passages and several rooms were found underground. There were crocks found in corners of the rooms, but they were so old that the people did not know what they were.
From the top of the moat there is a grand view.
Some people say that if you went running around the moat six times you would see on top of the moat a glass door.
The old people say that fairies live in them at night.
