    I have been at Crosshaven and Youghal Ballycotton, Tramore and Kilkee
    Ballybunion and likewise Dungarvan
    Those well known resorts by the sea
    For my health I have travelled through Ireland
    But now I am at last settled down
    And though I lack wealth I have now got my health
    Since I came to Kildorrery town
    Chorus
    You all know the town of Kildorrery
    You known well indeed that tis queer
    You'll get there by going to Ardpatrick
    And then to the Cross of Red Chair
    And when at that cross you are landed
    You will see a big hill looking down
    And on top of that hill quite naked and chill
    Lies famous Kildorrery town

    When king Edward came over to Ireland
    In delicate health as you know
    I met him one day in my travels
    And he asked me the road he would go
