    and go into the moat and come back milked and the same thing used happen every evening. That continued for the whole year and they made up their minds if the same thing happened the following year to tell it to the priest.
    It did happen and they told it to him and he advised them to let it go ahead because worse might happen. It started about June the third year and stopped in the month of August. They were advised by their neighbours to run the cow dry, to fatten her and to sell her but they did not, they were too much afraid for fear she would be wanted again but was not ever wanted afterwards. They kept her until she died. They never used her milk for any purpose.
    She died at a late hour in the night and they left her where she died until morning and when they went to bury her there were no trace of her, she was never seen afterwards.

    There was a family by the name of Fitzgerald living somewhere near Kilcross on the New Line to Tipperary. There were five sons - young men - in the family. The yard was very narrow and there was a moat right outside the wall of the yard. They started to knock the wall to let in a
