  1. Bog - deal and rush candles
    There was no lamp light or no candle light fifty years ago. All they had were bits of bog-deal. They would cut the bog-deal into slits and then light them. They would have a lot of bog-deal cut into slits. They would keep the bog-deal sticks in their hands until they would be burned, Then they would light another bit of a stick. The very rich ones had candles and some of them had lamps. The lamps they had that time were not the same as the lamps
