  1. One day Dean Swift was expecting company and he sent his servant boy out to sow cabbage plants so as to make the place look nice. He told him to sow them so that everybody would wonder at them. The boy went out and instead of putting the plants down right he put the roots up. When Dean Swift came out again he asked him why did he do that and he said "you told me to sow them so that every person would be wondering at them".
    I heard this story from Richard Walsh, Lanmore, Westport.
