  1. Long long ago a man in Lanmore named Tom M'Guire went one night to his friends house in Ordery. When he was coming home he had his own dog with him. He heard great noise inside in the field. The dog jumped in and began fighting with it. Then Tom set the dog on it as fast as he could. When he went home that night he heard that no one should set a dog on anything that did not interfere with him. In a few days after the dog died and himself was very uneasy and he went to the priest about it. The priest said he should not have set his dog on it. Then the priest had to come to his house once a week for three or four months so he made him promise not to interfere with anything that did not interfere with him.
