    The rabbit and hare do harm to the farmers green crops. Rabbits are great pests when the become plentiful and the farmer tries to kill and trap as many as he can.
    The fox kills and carries away fowl and young lambs. He is a great thief and is always hunted. When a fox is killed his tongue is cut out and is kept because it is said there is a cure in the tongue of a fox for swelling caused by thorns, etc.
    The weasel is said to be unlucky. It is hunted and killed because it destroys fowl and chickens also the weasels skin is used in making gloves and purses.
