It is said that the people living in that district buried their flax in that hole. This hole can scarcely be seen in the summer time but it can be seen plainly in the winter time. The people filled this hole because there were cows and other animals falling into it and they were drowned.Martin Howley of Cassamore told me the story of "Garrdha na g-Crann". This garden was covered with trees once. But the people cut them down. The weather came very bad one year and the people count not save their turf. They had not any turf to make their fires.
