The bride went to her home next and did not return to her father's house for a month. This was called "The month's mind" There was another feast then. - The people of Glenree all live by tilling the land.
The land is mostly reclaimed bog and is in parts marshy and stony. The men and boys cross to England when the crops are set and do not return till the end of Autumn.
Though there are now no special trades carried on, this was not the case about two or three generations ago.
