Ar an leathanach seo
- The women spun the wool, had it woven into frieze or flannel, and dyed it with mosses and lichens. Out of this cloth they made the heavy quilted petticoats, dyed purple, red or black, which with a paisley shawl was the gala dress of the women of this parish.
Men or women rarely wore shoes. The only trades that still survive are spinning, (still carried on by one or two women) and the making of turf baskets and creels for donkeys.
The people are intelligent and boast at least one poet, John Moran, and one writer, Michael Joe Ruane.- Bailitheoir
