They used to be very plentiful before Easter gathering eggs for Easter Sunday. They would not leave the house unless you gave them one or two eggs. Mary Kearns used to dye her hair and when the rain used to come it used to run down her face.
   Kit the Tinker was the worst. She used to steal the clothes from the clothesline and sell them and drink the money.
