- The following is a poem composed by David Hay, who is at present residing near Dunfanaghy.I have a true and gallant friend,
A friend of high renown,
He dwells above sweet Lennan's banks
In old Ramelton town.
He walks out every morning
Dressed up so trim and neat,
He's admired by all the ladies
Who dwell round Castle Street. He sings sweet 'Annie Laurie'
And the 'Rose of sweet Tralee',
When he sings 'The dear old Hazel Dell',
We everyone agree.
He should have been upon the Stage,
He is a famous star,
To hear the music from my friend
Folk travel near and far.He was a District Councillor,
His electors he did please,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
