At last Mickey told Patrick about a monkey that was in a shop in Scotland. When he got the tobacco he ran over to the other side of the counter and said, “How are you Paddy Duffy all the road from Ireland” an the monkey did not speak to him. He said to him again “Many as the day I did help you on with the bag of potatoes in Ireland and now you would not help speak [?] to an old neighbour [sic]” At the end up the shopkeeper asked him “how much would he beat that(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
